DRESS CODE

Garden Formal

Think old-school Hawaiian elegance — not beach casual.

FOR THE LADIES

Floral or tropical-print dresses, elegant sundresses, linen or silk dresses, dressy sandals, wedges, vintage-inspired Hawaiian prints.

FOR THE GENTLEMEN

Vintage Hawaiian shirts, linen or lightweight button-downs, tailored trousers, linen pants, loafers, woven dress shoes, or a lightweight linen suit. Classic Hawaiian prints are encouraged.

THE VIBE

Think 1950s–1970s Hawaii resort elegance — beautiful tropical prints, linen, natural fabrics, and vintage aloha style.

Please do not wear board shorts, tank tops, graphic tees, or beach cover-ups. When in doubt, dress like you're going to an old exquisite Hawaiian hotel for dinner at sunset.

A BLESSING

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor. If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.”

— ECCLESIASTES 4:9–10

💡TRAVEL TIPS AND TRICKS

Best Days to Book Flights

Book flights on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon, or on Saturday — these tend to have the lowest fares.

Use Incognito Mode or a VPN

Your location can affect the prices you see. Browse in incognito mode or use a VPN to avoid location-based prices.

Best Times to Book

Search for flights early morning (6am) or overnight (2–4am) for the best deals — prices are often lower during off-peak hours.

Monitor Your Flight for Price Drops

Plug your booked flight into flightcheatcode.com or JetBack — these websites automatically monitor your flight for price drops and file claim requests with the airline on your behalf.

Use Credit Cards for Travel Points

We recommend paying with a travel credit card so you can maximize your travel points and rewards on flights and accommodations.

🌺HAWAII 101

Bring These

Real ID or passport · Sandals · Swimsuit · Reef-safe sunscreen · Sunglasses · Aloe for after sun · Small amount of cash for tips · Portable phone charger · Film camera (if that's your thing) · Wedding attire + comfortable shoes · A tote bag or backpack for activities

🌊 Use Reef-Safe Sunscreen

Avoid sunscreen containing oxybenzone and octinoxate — Hawaii restricts these chemicals to protect coral reefs. Look for mineral-based sunscreens with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide.

🐚 Leave Nature as You Found It

Do not take coral, rocks, shells, sand, or other natural items home. Leave the beaches and natural areas exactly as you found them.

🐢 Respect Marine Wildlife

Do not touch or chase marine life. Give sea turtles, seals, dolphins, and other wildlife plenty of space. Observe from a distance and let them be.

🧳 Please Don't Overpack!

Bring something for the wedding, something comfortable, and something to jump in the water. That's really all you need.
